There are many options when designing a HVAC system for your new home. Initial quotes and system size are most commonly quoted off a set of plans given to us or emailed. We use software to determine the size of the system, we then design a duct system to distribute the air that accommodates your home and needs. After the house is framed we will conduct a walk through with you to finalize all plans before beginning work.
The rough in stage is where we come in and install the air handler, duct work, copper lines, drains, communication wire, and exhaust ducts. This is usually done after framing is complete and the roof is dried in, this is also the stage where the plumbers and electricians do there rough in.
The trim out Is scheduled when the house is nearing completion. We install the air vents on the ceiling, mount the thermostat, and set the outside condenser. At this point the system is 100% complete and just needs to be started.
The start up can often be conducted on the say day as the trim out or at a later date depending on if the house has power yet and other factors. When the unit is started we have a check list we go through that includes freon pressures, amp draws, condensate drain, and airflow in the cooling and heating modes.
After you are moved in your new home it is important to schedule a yearly maintenance to make sure your HVAC system continues to perform at a high level.
